Radio by country

Start at home, then tune in to the diaspora. Nigerian stations first, with stations from other countries beside them.

Most of what lives here is Nigerian, and that is on purpose. But radio does not stop at borders. If you are Nigerian and living abroad, or just looking for West African and African broadcasters outside Nigeria, this page is where you start.

Listening from outside Nigeria

Every station on this site streams over the internet, which means the same broadcast you would hear in Lagos or Kano arrives in London, Houston, Toronto or Dubai with no extra setup. Diaspora listeners make up a big share of our traffic, and the pattern is consistent: Nigerian stations play at home, in the car, on the commute, and quietly in the background at work.

The one thing that changes is time zones. Morning drive-time shows in Lagos land in the UK just before most people there are awake, and in North America during the middle of the night. If you want to catch a specific show live, check the station schedule. If you just want the sound of Nigerian radio in the background, every station streams 24 hours a day.

Questions we hear a lot

Why does a Nigerian radio site list stations from other countries?
Because Nigerians do not stop being Nigerian when they move abroad. The diaspora listens to Nigerian stations constantly, and it also wants to hear what the new home country is broadcasting. We list both.
Can I listen to these stations from Nigeria?
Yes. Every country page streams worldwide, the same way Nigerian stations do. There are no regional locks and nothing to unlock.
How many non-Nigerian stations do you carry?
It changes as we add stations. Right now the biggest non-Nigerian group is the Global category, followed by the UK, then Ghana and South Africa.
How do I suggest a station from my country?
Send us the name and stream link on the contact page. If it is a live, legal broadcast, we will add it.
Missing a country?

Tell us which stations you want to hear and we will go looking.
